Performing our five daily prayers (sholat) on time
The five daily prayers are a sacred obligation for every Muslim who has reached maturity. They are not only a command from Allah, but also one of the pillars that uphold the faith of Islam. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when a person’s prayers are performed with excellence, other acts of worship—such as fasting, zakat, and charity—will naturally follow in perfection.
In the time of the Prophet ﷺ, many of his companions would perform their prayers with such deep tranquility and devotion that the world around them seemed to fade away. Their focus was so profound that even the pain of an arrow striking them would go unnoticed.
Let us, then, honor this gift of worship by performing our five daily prayers (sholat) on time, with sincerity in our hearts and humility before our Creator. For in prayer lies the peace of the soul and the strength of our faith.
